Many people i am sure in Australia at least have heard about the many fires in Australia's immigration detention centres. And the response in the community has been mixed.
On one hand you have those who feel the natural outrage. Bad enough the australian citizen firstly pays for normal maintainece and now millions of dollars in repair bills. For them it goes too far. Many support jail sentences, while others go to the extreme of sending basically the whole lot away.
On the other hand though you have those who feel that this should show us how much the refugees suffer. Many believe that the refugee detention centres are bad especially for children. Children have had many contraversies around them in this issue with one group threatening to commit suicide, another running away.
While refugee centres are bad for the people whether we like it or not they are illegally entering the country and any country has the right to choose who gets in. Its an issue which can only be solved by compromise, which doesn't seem evident at all.
